"I have worked on the Headlands Auction for a few years, and I feel that each year the art and the crowd just get better! There is always some kind of magic happening in the room—the excitement is infectious.”

Jessica Silverman

Jessica Silverman founded the Jessica Silverman Gallery in 2008 after completing her MFA in Curatorial Practice at California College of the Arts. The gallery is known for discovering emerging artists in California and bringing them to an international audience, as well as introducing foreign artists to the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2013 the gallery expanded to a 3,000-square-foot space in the historic Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco.
“Working with Headlands to support its programming gives me great pleasure. The auction is not only fun, but it yields a tremendous amount of support for the organization and gives back to the artists who donate. It is a win-win situation. This year, 90 percent of the people I asked to donate said yes within an hour! This is going to make for a great year.”
